Description
In 1949, a photographer brought a panoramic camera to the top of the Taylor Milling facility in Los Angeles, California. Focusing the camera lens on Southern Pacific’s Taylor Yard, the photographer captured a snapshot in time. On the left, a set of F-units in the Black Widow. In the foreground, an early diesel switch locomotive and a steam locomotive switch blocks of cars. In the background, the Pacific Fruit Express ice plant and loading dock are prominent. Behind it, the diesel facility is nearing completion but has not yet opened. The steam facility is to the right of it and still in operation.
This view of Taylor Yard will make a lively conversation piece in your collection. This superb image was scanned at high resolution from an original print and is printed on glossy poster paper. Measures 18 inches high and 48 long. Poster will be shipped rolled in a tube.
